The production process of the livestock feed pellet
- Crushing: First, the material is crushed into powder by the hammer mill to prepare for the next pelleting process.
- Mixing: The crushed raw materials need to be mixed according to different formulas.
- Pelleting: The processed raw material is ready for pelleting. Poultry feed pellets are generally granulated by a flat die pellet machine or a ring die pellet machine, and users can choose according to their own needs.
- Cooling and screening: After pelleting, cooling and sieving are required. This step can effectively reduce the temperature of the feed pellet and sieve feed particles of different sizes.
- Packaging: The final product is packaged in an automatic weighing baler.
Main equipment in the livestock feed pellet production line
In the poultry feed pellet production line, the main equipment used includes the hammer mill, horizontal mixer, poultry feed pellet mill, cooling screening machine, automatic weighing baler and screw conveying equipment.
1. Hammer Mill
The raw materials of poultry feed pellets are generally soybean meal, corn, straw, pasture, etc. And the size of the produced feed is larger than that of fish food pellets. Therefore, unlike the pulverizer in the fish food pellet production line, there are many choices. In the poultry feed pellet production line, we generally use the hammer mill to pulverize the raw materials. The hammer mill is currently the most widely used pulverizer. Various materials are crushed.
2. Horizontal ribbon mixer
This horizontal ribbon mixer has a U-shape cylinder section, and there is no dead angle in the mixing process. The rotor can be pulled out from one end for easy maintenance.
The output of the horizontal mixer is large, and each batch can handle 150-1000kg, which is suitable for small production lines.
3. Livestock feed pellet machine
There are two types of animal feed pellet machines: flat die pellet machine and ring die pellet machine according to the production method.
Flat die pellet machine: This kind of pellet machine is mainly suitable for medium-and small-scale farming professional households and other processing of various livestock.
Ring die pellet machine: This pellet machine has a larger output and is mainly suitable for large farms and feed pellet mills, and is an important part of the poultry feed production line.
4. Cooling & screening equipment
This equipment integrates cooling and screening functions. After the material enters, it is first cooled by the fan in the upper layer, and then falls into the vibrating screening device below for screening. It’s widely used in grading and sieving pellets and crushed materials.
